Driving Under the Influence (DUI)This is a very common offense in the State of Florida. This is a charge given to individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or another substance (not necessarily limited to illegal substances) that impair their ability to operate a motor vehicle and are in actual physical control of a motor vehicle. This last part is important, as it is possible to be in physical control of a vehicle and not necessarily by “driving” said vehicle. |
