Do I Have To Notify My Insurance Company If I Am Not At Fault?

Listen as Kissimmee car accident lawyer, Michelle Incandela explains why you must notify your own insurance company following an accident that you were involved in, even though it was not your fault.

You should not worry about a potential auto insurance rate increase, as the accident was not your fault. Additionally, by taking out an insurance policy you have a duty to report the claim.

As part of the contract with the insurance company, you have to report a claim promptly and cooperate with them. They also have the right to investigate the claim. If you fail to do these things, the insurance company can actually deny coverage, such as uninsured motorist coverage. While you are required to report the claim, remember you should not speak to the adjusters of the other party’s insurance company without seeking assistance from an attorney. Watch the video to learn more.

If you have additional questions regarding reporting an accident and cooperating with your insurance company, call the experienced Kissimmee car accident lawyers of Draper Law Offices at 407-846-0075. I welcome your call.
