Neighboring Tenant’s Vicious Dog Attacks Woman in Her Own Yard

Listen as Kissimmee personal injury lawyer, Michelle Incandela describes an incident in which a woman was attacked by her neighbor’s dog while in her own yard, and how she was able to pursue a claim.

Our client was washing her car in her own yard when a vicious dog belonging to her neighbor broke through the fence and brutally attacked her. The neighbor was renting from a landlord who owned the neighboring property.

Her claim was initially denied because the owner of the dog was only a tenant of the property, and landlords in Florida are typically not responsible for dog bites that occur off their leased premises. We were able to assist her because the landlord had prior knowledge regarding the dog. There had been previous reports and written complaints.

Also, the fence between the two properties was in disrepair, and this had previously allowed the dog to escape. Given these circumstances, we were able to pursue a claim for this victim. Watch the video to learn more.
