Roadside Safety in Florida

It would be best if you also turned on your hazard lights to alert other drivers. If you cannot safely attend to the vehicle, call for a tow truck or roadside assistance.
Road Rage
Being involved in an accident can be extremely stressful. When the collision occurs, both drivers are likely to be adrenalized and upset. In some cases, a driver may go past this point and become verbally abusive or even violent. If you have an accident with another driver or encounter another driver, who appears to be unreasonably upset or is threatening you stay in your vehicle with the doors locked. Contact the police and do not interact with this person more than necessary while waiting for their arrival.
When Someone is Injured
When someone at a collision site is seriously injured, you want to avoid moving them as much as possible until medical personnel can arrive. However, you will want to look at the situation and make sure that the individual is safe from oncoming traffic. If the person is disoriented, try to help them remain still and calm until EMS can get there.
Have Supplies Ready
Having emergency supplies in your vehicle can help you manage your situation and get off the road safely. Be sure you have equipment such as a spare tire, jumper cables, and emergency flares on hand. It is also a good idea to have a first aid kit and a blanket available.
