Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Sidewalk

Motorcycle riders like to test their bikes to the limit. They often do crazy things while on their bikes. They may speed and ride in places they should not be riding.

An example of this is an Orlando man who recently died after speeding on a sidewalk in Kissimmee. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of February 22 on Simpson Road.

The 25-year-old man was riding on a motorcycle on Simpson Road, near Boggy Terrace Drive. He was speeding on a sidewalk and heading east. A sedan was also on Simpson Road and traveling in the same direction. The driver of the sedan tried to make a right turn into the driveway of a nearby home when it collided with the motorcycle.

The impact pushed the rider onto the sidewalk. The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. The driver of the car was not injured and remained at the accident scene.

Riding on Sidewalks

When the roads are crowded and traffic is a beast, you may look for detours and shortcuts. This is especially true if you are a motorcycle rider, as bikes can fit into small spaces more easily than passenger vehicles. However, there are some things you should know about riding on sidewalks.

First of all, it is illegal. Sidewalks are for pedestrians. Motor vehicles are not allowed on sidewalks because they are dangerous.

And that brings us to the next reason why you shouldn’t ride a motorcycle on a sidewalk. It’s downright dangerous. If you ride on a sidewalk, you could hit a pedestrian, dog, or object such as a pole or building. Pedestrians are not used to motorcycles coming right at them, so they may not be able to get out of the way quickly, leading to serious injuries.

Riding on a sidewalk is also unsafe for riders, as seen in this case. The driver was turning and did not see the motorcycle on the sidewalk, causing a fatal collision. Motorcycles are so small, making them hard to see as it is. When a motorcycle comes out of nowhere, it’s even harder for the driver of a passenger vehicle to notice the bike.

Riding on a sidewalk could be a costly mistake. Not only could you cause a lot of damage, but you may also be cited for breaking the law. You could be cited for reckless driving or speeding, among other violations. Follow the law and stay safe.
