Kissimmee to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. with Unity Parade and Festival Saturday Jan. 18, 2020

unityCelebrate diversity, unity, and community at the City of Kissimmee Martin Luther King Jr Unity Celebration! This energetic parade and festival features live performances from Gospel, R&B, and Soul artists including Mary Wilson from the Supremes, along with food trucks, craft vendors, the KUA Kids Zone, and a unity parade through Historic Downtown Kissimmee.

Unity Parade

The festivities begin with Kissimmee’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Parade at 10 am. This community parade which travels through the heart of Historic Downtown Kissimmee celebrates unity within the community. Enjoy creative parade floats from groups and organizations within the community. The parade route will run along Broadway, Dakin Avenue, and Lakeview Drive and it’s recommend that you arrive 30 minutes early.

Festival

The Martin Luther King Jr Unity Celebration is one of Kissimmee’s most energetic festivals. The gospel, R&B, and Soul performances fill the air with excitement and passion and reverberates through Kissimmee Lakefront Park. While you’re there, food truck and craft vendors will have plenty of options for you to try and kids will love the Kissimmee Utility Authority Kids Zone.
